Eyes on Internship

As an intern at UAMA, Art & Visual Culture Education major Linda Garcia Escobar has engaged countless visitors through hands-on activities that augment current exhibitions.

In fact, Linda was beginning to explore textiles in her own artistic practice when UAMA opened Pulse: Weavings and Paintings by Marlowe Katoney. She was inspired to create fun textile-related activities for visitors to the Making Care drop-in maker's space, including a collaborative loom.

Having grown up in a family of teachers and artists, Linda plans to be an art educator. Her future is incredibly bright, and UAMA is grateful for her hard work to enhance the experience of our visitors!

Learn more about Linda in the School of Art feature below.
