Half of the UAMA collection is comprised of works on paper including watercolors, drawings, etchings, prints of various mediums, and photographs.
The collection includes early modern engravings and etchings, Japanese prints, watercolors by artists such as John Marin and Charles Burchfield, preparatory sketches by Salvador Dalí and Jacques Lipchitz, Polaroid photographs by Andy Warhol, and significant prints by artists such as Margo Humphrey, Duane Slick, Alison Saar, Kiki Smith, and Roger Shimomura.
